about antimattr
autobiographical
it seems odd to write a biographical addendum to a blog; the journal entries should describe "who i am" better than anything i can think to say here. nonetheless, i guess there are a few facts worthy of mention. if not worthy of mention, they may at least be of interest:
- my given name isn't antimattr...it is actually matt;
- i was born in 1981;
- i was born in Canada, and have lived here/there ever since (except for a one year hiatus in Australia—courtesy of my dad's teacher exchange);
- i was an overachiever in high school...
- ...not so much in university;
- i went to the university of guelph and graduated with a baccalaureate in science in engineering with a biological engineering major—2004;
- i am a mammal;
- i dislike capital letters, and especially the capitalizing of personal pronouns;
- i am a part-time artist and full-time forensic engineer-in-training...this web site is, i think, primarily an effort to restore and entertain my creative-self; and,
- i am a card conjuror, though only a novice.
about the photoblog
i got into photography during my high school days and started doing black and white dark room work at home. you won't find any of that work here though.
from february 2005 to late 2006 i was shooting digital images with a nikon d70 with the nikkor af-s 18-70 mm 1:3-4.4G ED DX lens—my work camera. in september 2006, i got upgraded to a d200.
hopefully you enjoy my photographs.
