palm pilot
- ereader - this is where i get my ebooks. they have a great selection and reading books on the palm is much more convenient than one might imagine. also, i got the merriam webster collegiate dictionary and can lookup any word, while reading, simply by highlighting it (mmm...definitional bliss).
- palmgear - a virtual repository of software for personal digital assistants--you can search only for freeware too (i recommend BigClock, Book Worm, Chem Table, DiddleBug, Easy Calc, FileZ, PhysConst, pTunes, Vexed, & Yaps)
- plucker - the best offline web site and ebook reader for palm_os.
- palm powerups - home of warpspeed, the program i use to cancel out the horrible noise my tungsten e2 screen makes. also, the site has some nice freeware, including a screen brightness fix, so that you can darken the screen beyond the arbitrary limit imposed by palm.

- incomplete project - a friend of a friend's photoblog, although i can't (for the life of me) remember who this person is or which friend knows him.

- dbpoweramp - a suite of different programs for audio-related tasks. i use music converter to rip my cds to ogg vorbis using a free plugin.

- firefox - the best web browser, ever.
- the GIMP - the GNU Image Manipulation Program rivals adobe photoshop in functionality, and destroys it where price is concerned--it is free.

- picasa - "...software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC"
- wordweb - a great free dictionary/thesaurus for windows users.
